Description More Information

TWP 200 series: The 200 series is a high solid, heavy duty penetrating coating. The 200 series is designed for extending the service life of shakes and shingles. The primary function is to enhance structural integrity and appearance of aged roofing. This coating will minimize grain cracking, surface erosion, cupping, water absorption and surface attack from mildew and algae. Although this is a penetrating coating a residual surface film is highly resistant to destructive organisms. TWP 200 series restored lubricity and flexibility to brittle shingles. This product is available in all 50 states.

Coverage rate by age of wood (years):

1. 250 square feet per gallon.

2. 175-200 square feet per gallon.

5. 125-150 square feet per gallon.

5+. 100-125 square feet per gallon.

Coats: The 200 series requires 1 coat

Life: TWP 200 series can last 5-7 years depending on your environment/climate.

Application process: it can be applied with a pad, sprayer, brush, or a roller.
(http://www.worldofstains.com/Application-Equipment-Brushes-Sprayers-Applicators-s/5.htm). TWP 200 series need to be applied between 50-95 degrees Fahrenheit. For best results clean your wood first with a high quality wood cleaner and/or brightener. (http://www.worldofstains.com/Messmers-Wood-Cleaner-p/m-wda-wood-cleaner.htm )

One Coat: Apply TWP to dry clean wood, if new wood let it age a minimum of 4-6 weeks. Apply one even medium coat, allow 30 minutes to pass and wipe up any excess that my still be present on the wood.

Wet on Wet (2 coats): 2 coats are not necessary, but will provide additional penetration and protection for a few more months. Wet on Wet 2 coats process requires you to put the second coat on immediately after the first. If an hour passes DO NOT put a second coat, this will likely cause the stain to puddle on top and create a film, which will peel over time. If you cannot do 2 coats immediately after each other then wait until the following year to apply another coat.

Dry Time: at least 24 hours, depends on temperature and humidity.
Previously treated wood: TWP 200 series will work best on previously treated wood if you clean the wood and reapply. (http://www.worldofstains.com/Gemini-Safe-Strip-Injectable-Stripper-p/ge-safe-strip-1.htm)
